YouPlanet is an Iranian social and entertainment platform that puts conversation, content and online games in one product. You can find new people, build a profile, post, talk by text or voice, and play quizzes and multiplayer games. It has passed half a million installs.
One rule settles every decision we make: every screen in YouPlanet has to end at a specific person.
Most social networks are built around watching. You move through posts for an hour and come out having spoken to nobody. The scrolling is the product.
YouPlanet was built the other way round: content, games and conversation are wired to each other. A quiz starts a rivalry, a game gives two people something to talk about, and a post is how somebody with the same taste finds you.
The goal is not more time on screen. It is to make the part that matters — talking to someone new — easier and better fun than it usually is.
None of these was designed on its own. They are one product, and each of them exists to hand you to another one.
YouPlanet knows who is near you. It does not know where you are. No pin on a map, no exact distance, no «last seen here».
Profiles, photos and posts never move behind a paywall. What YouPlanet sells is being seen: boosts, promoted posts, priority messages.
Every figure on this site comes either from a store’s own console or from our database. None of them has been nudged to look healthier.
YouPlanet is independent and Iranian, and it was shaped from the start around how people here actually use a phone. It went from an idea to half a million installs, through several versions that were shipped, watched and rebuilt.
Growth was never only the user count. Each stage taught us something specific about behaviour, infrastructure, product design, and what it takes to run an online community without it going wrong.
YouPlanet was built from nothing by Sasan Rocky, an Iranian developer and founder — the product design, the app, the infrastructure underneath it, and the first working model of how the whole thing fits together.
It was never meant to be a short project or a demo. The point was a real product that could keep running at size.
YouPlanet 2 is in development, and it is not a reskin. The infrastructure, the realtime layer, profiles, the social systems, the games, the in-app economy and the admin console are all being rebuilt.
Shipping more features is not the same as getting better. Each one has to solve a named problem and have an obvious place in the product.
We do not want a crowded app full of screens nobody opens. You should be able to arrive with no explanation, find people worth finding, drop into a game or start a conversation.
