YouPlanetYouPlanet does not store any user’s exact coordinates. The rounding happens on the device before anything is sent, and the rendering layer never has access to a true coordinate. Distance is shown as an approximation and never as a pin on a map.

On the device, not the server
Where the rounding happens matters. If a precise coordinate reaches the server and is rounded there, anything that arrived can be logged. So it happens before it is sent.
What is never shown
No pin, no exact distance, no «last seen here». What you see is an area and an approximate distance, and that is enough to know somebody is nearby.
What you control
You can block, make your profile private, or delete your account at any time. The full detail is in the Data Retention & Deletion document.
